A Shrine to the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Skyrim is an open world RPG developed by Bethesda Game Studios, originally released in 2011. It is the fifth mainline installment of the Elder Scrolls series. Since its original release in 2011, Skyrim has been remastered twice, having releases on over a dozen platforms.

But a day, shall arise, when the dark dragon’s lies,
Will be silenced forever and then!
Fair Skyrim will be free from foul Alduin’s maw!
Dragonborn be the savior of men!

The game takes place in the titular region of Skyrim, the northernmost region of Tamriel. You play as the fated hero of Skyrim, the Last Dragonborn. The game begins as Skyrim is in the throes civil war, and the once mythrical dragons invade the province under the leadership of Alduin the World Eater.

Skyrim is one of my favorite games of all time, and I've never played anything else quite like it. While the main story of Skyrim is an epic about a fantastical hero, the soul of Skyrim is in its sidequest and characters. While the overall plot is the same regardless of our choices, Skyrim allows for a rich roleplay experience. You can be a virtuous, sword wielding hero, or you could be an evil, spellcasting necromancer. Most likely, you will find yourself something inbetween hero and villain. Most storylines in Skyrim will tempt you into wickedness, favoring everyone but squeaky-clean paladins.
