Current File

My current playthrough is my first in about 8 years, my first on PC, and my first modded playthrough. Despite all of these 'firsts,' going back to Whiterun felt like coming home after a long, long time. I felt comfort in the familiar lines of the guards, the story, and the feeling of exploring Skyrim all over again.

I play Skyrim fairly typically. I play as an assassin and fire mage as that's my preferred playstyle. It also makes sense for the roleplay side of my playthrough, as my favorite quest is the Dark Brotherhood. I am also marrying Serana, and I'd like to think my character is one she would actually fall in love with, haha. Is that projecting? ♥

I started my game with a preset I made myself, affectionately named 'Walmart Yennefer.' A breton, as always. I've since given myself a facelift using this preset. The gaunt quality of vampire faces in this game made my character look odd and polygon-y after my transformation, hence the need for a faceup.

Most of my early screenshots were clumsy admiration of how beautiful all the women in the game look with my mods. I mean, just look at Ysolda compared to the vanilla game. I was stunned. I use the Bijin NPCs SE mod, as well as the male and wives versions.

Here is a quick collection of my awestruck screenshots of my beloved Skyrim women.

It wasn't long before I got into the groove of the game again. I ran around killing everything in sight, avoiding the main quest, and joined a death cult. Speaking of the Dark Brotherhood, look how haunting this scene looks.

I used this mod so that I could adopt Aventus after finishing Innocence Lost. I've always felt so bad for him, but I wonder if adopting him is a good idea. Wouldn't that just encourage him to also become an assassin? Who is to say. I'm his somewhat evil, old lady slaying mom, now.

For me, Skyrim is both the ultimate female power fantasy and the ultimate 'cozy game.' I'm so serious. My favorite part about the game is building up my homestead and taking care of my family. I love working on my little farm, building my houses up, and playing with my children in between all the questing, slaying, and plundering. In this playthrough, I adopted 4 children. (Ignore the clipping on Lucia and Sofie, I really cannot be assed to learn how to use Bodyslide to fix it rn).

As of writing this, I'm trying to figure out a better housing solution. My favorite vanilla house is Lakeview Manor, and I moved into a modded version of it this playthrough. HOWEVER, after like 20 hours, the mod completely shit the bed, and there are vanilla walls clipping everywhere. It's not an easy fix to remove them, unfortunately. I am planning on just cutting my losses and moving somewhere else. I haven't decided where yet.

I adventured with my best buddy Cicero for awhile. As much as I love Serana, Cicero is probably my favorite character. He has my favorite lines in the entire game.

My favorite part of this playthrough is by far playing through the Dawnguard DLC with Serana Dialogue Add-On. It is a fantastic, fully-voiced, well-written, and extremely detailed re-imagining of Serana's storyline. I am kind of in love with her, HAHAHA. She's my wife!

This page is a work in progress as I'm still playing through the game. Per tradition, I have barely touched the main story, even after 130 hours!
